About

SalaamCal’s mission is to form an interactive relationship with the community and provide a voice for all of its members.

Since the founding of SalaamCal, we have strived to maintain a standard of excellence and professionalism within the effort. Whether it is developing an editorial system or organizing an Open Mic Night, our ultimate goal is to serve the community.

Other than publishing a quality paper, SalaamCal also builds a personal relationship with the community through social projects. Among these projects include homeless feedings, open mic nights, and general get-togethers.

The SalaamCal team are comprised of primarily local individuals. As a youth-driven paper, SalaamCal encourages staff members to kindle their passions through the organization. Whether through print publication or otherwise, SalaamCal consolidates local talents and skills within the effort.
